Fire Pump

Types of Fire Pump
Split case pumps are mostly horizontal pumps but can also be vertical. They are highly efficient units and their simple, split case design allows for in-line service without disturbing the piping. An end suction pump is a suction pressure pump with its suction nozzle on the opposite side of the casing from the stuffing box, with the face of the suction nozzle perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the shaft.
In-line pumps are mostly used when lower flow ranges are needed, lengthening the pumps service life and minimizing energy consumption. In-Line fire pumps are easy to install as the inlet and outlet are on a common centre line.
A turbine pump is a versatile fire pump that is designed to successfully operate in a multitude of water sources from wells to oceans. Vertical turbine pumps offer the best technical pumping solution for fire protection when the pump's water source is below ground or at deck level.
Fire pump controllers control the fire pumps that provide the water supply to a buildings water base fire fighting system. Fire pump controllers need to be well built and reliable so they can successfully operate during an emergency situation or fire.
